Presented by Oxfam Hong Kong and fully supported by AIA Vitality, Oxfam Trailwalker 2023 (OTW 2023) Prize Presentation Ceremony was held at the Red Cross Building on 29 February. The ceremony honoured the Speed Award Champions and the Fundraising Award Champions. Bernard Chan, OTW Steering Group Convenor, presented souvenirs for Oxfam Trailwalker 2023 to the Principal Sponsor AIA, sponsors, and supporting organisations. Over 300 guests, including Trailwalkers, supporting organisations, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, attended the ceremony.

Bernard Chan, OTW Steering Group Convenor, said: ‘A total of 776 teams, or 3104 participants, joined Oxfam Trailwalker 2023 and the funds raised will continue to support Oxfam's local and global anti-poverty work including vulnerable communities affected by climate change.’

Alger Fung, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, said, ‘We are honoured to be the Principal Sponsor of Oxfam Trailwalker for nine consecutive years to support Oxfam’s poverty alleviation efforts. Many of our financial planners also participated in this challenge to raise more funds. I am pleased to see all AIA teams completed the 100-km trails and won the Insurance Champion in the Speed Awards, demonstrating our aspiration to go beyond to support the community.’

Michael Wong, Director of Fundraising and Communications of Oxfam Hong Kong, presented fundraising awards to more than 20 winning teams. Kalina Tsang, Director General of Oxfam Hong Kong, presented the Speed Awards to the winning teams. Oxfam Trailwalker Champion was Team 8001, which completed the Oxfam Trailwalker in 12 hours and 42 minutes and won the Male Team Champion. Their team members were Shing Tung Leung, Wai Yip Leung, Xiao Ming Ye and Kin Ka Lam. The Female Team Champion was Team 8111, consisting of Yan Angie, Ki Chun Wong, Hong Kiu Leung, and Man Yee Cheung. They won the Female Team Championship, finishing in 13 hours and 52 minutes. Rita Wong, Head of Branding and Communications of AIA Hong Kong and Macau, presented to the winning teams with the ‘AIA Vitality – Dare to Challenge Award’ and Best Photo Award. Oxfam will mark the 40th anniversary of Trailwalker this year. The Oxfam Trailwalker 2024 event is scheduled to take place from 15th to 17th November, with registration opening in late May.
