【Understanding Poverty through Grocery Shopping Experience】 Event Date: Sunday, December 17, 2023 (exact time to be determined) People have diverse expectations when it comes to eating healthily. Some prioritize nutrition, while others consider organic options. However, for individuals in low-income communities, even sustaining a household is challenging, let alone affording nutritious meals. Research conducted by Oxfam reveals that many low-income families in Hong Kong struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs within their food budget. Is it fair to live a life where one can only fill their stomach but not maintain a balanced diet? Through this event, participants will gain insight into the daily struggles faced by low-income groups as they plan their meals with limited resources.
